Day 1 Arrival in Arusha and overnight stay

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival, a warm and friendly Shengena Adventure representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have an opportunity to relax and refresh as you prepare for the incredible journey ahead. Arusha is a lively and welcoming city, known as the gateway to northern Tanzania’s world-class safari destinations. As a key hub for safari adventures, it offers the perfect introduction to the country’s rich culture and natural beauty, making it an ideal starting point for your unforgettable experience.

Day 2 Scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, the elephant paradise

After breakfast, your professional Shengena Adventure safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and begin the smooth 2.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park on well-maintained tarmac roads. On arrival, you will explore one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife destinations. Tarangire is celebrated as Tanzania’s elephant paradise, hosting some of the country’s largest elephant herds. During the Dry season, wildlife gathers along the Tarangire River, the park’s only permanent water source, creating outstanding viewing opportunities. Alongside elephants, you may spot giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, zebras and wildebeest, with lions and leopards often in the area.
